Winter Weather Prep Reminders

As we're preparing for colder weather to continue to make it's way to Oklahoma, we thought we'd share a few reminders to help shore up your home!

 - Check outdoor spigots, hoses, and valves.  Disconnect hoses, and ideally make sure there's an insulated cover on the spigot.

- Let sinks and tubs against exterior walls slowly drip if temps are below freezing for multiple days.  If you're on a well, check with who services your well pump first though.

- Try to keep your furnace close to the same temperature day and night.  Remember that it's functioning at it's best when set about 30 degrees away from the temp outside - but they can function okay with a wider variant than that.

- Open cabinet doors that house piping.  This helps the warm air from inside circulate and keep those pipes a bit warmer.
